During a heart attack, every moment counts. That's why our Cardiac Alert Teams offer an immediate response in our American College of Cardiology-accredited Chest Pain Centers. We're always prepared to take an EKG within five minutes of a patient's arrival, and if we discover a blocked artery, our cardiac cath lab teams jump into action to restore blood flow.

Does Adventist Health offer cardiac rehab services?
Yes! In fact, we’re the only cardiac rehab program in Kern County accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Our team of registered nurse specialists have advanced training, experience and expertise in helping patients recover after heart attack, heart failure, coronary artery bypass surgery, angioplasty and stents, heart valve replacement and a wide variety of other cardiac conditions.
Does Adventist Health accept my insurance?
We take most commercial insurance, as well as Medi-Cal and Medicare. However, it is very important that you call your insurer to confirm your coverage for any non-emergency visit to avoid the potential of paying much higher fees for your service. Examples of non-emergency visits include medical specialist visits, diagnostic tests (such as X-ray, CT and MRI), surgery and non-surgical procedures (such as cath lab procedures).
