Growth and development
Clinical Ladder Program
Adventist Health Sonora's Clinical Ladder Program encourages nurses to continue to grow in their profession and rewards their commitment to excellence with the opportunity earn up to a $3,500 bonus.
Tuition reimbursement
Adventist Health Sonora is dedicated to supporting our staff in pursing educational opportunities and will reimburse up to $10,500 in educational expenses. Additionally, several scholarships are available to our staff to help them pursue further education.
CEU reimbursement
To support our nurses in their efforts in increasing their knowledge and improving their practice, Adventist Health Sonora will reimburse up to $800 spent on continuing education every two years.
Process improvement initiatives
Every department of the hospital is actively engaged in process improvement initiatives to ensure that we are continually improving based on current evidence-based practices, and input and participation from every Adventist Health Sonora associate is welcomed and appreciated.
Shared Governance
Adventist Health Sonora is committed to the Shared Governance Model and encourages every nurse to share their ideas on their Unit Based Council. Each unit-based council sends representatives to the hospital wide shared governance committee, who in turn sends representatives to the system level, where they work with dedicated nurses from across California, Hawaii, and Oregon.
Commitment to grow leaders
As a smaller hospital in a rural community, it is our goal to nurture and develop our staff into the next generation of leaders. Additionally, we continue the development of our leaders through quarterly Leadership Development Institute programs.
